 ACE Archaeology Club is an active group based in central Devon. Our aim is to find and record archaeology in this part of Devon (and farther afield), and also to encourage others to get to know and look after the fantastic heritage that exists in the area.

The Club provides opportunities to meet others interested in archaeology, to visit sites of interest and to take part in excavation and other aspects of practical and experimental archaeology.

Our members range from enthusiastic amateurs to professionals, all of whom are happy to pass on and share their knowledge.

The Moistown Archaeology Project Interim Report 2019 is now on the website, look for Moistown under the Projects tab.

If you are interested in digging or learning about finds processing and other ‘things’ archaeological with us, do get in touch.

We are recruiting diggers for this summers work.  Our ‘dig’ is from 16th July to the 31st July.  If you are interested please contact us for more information.

As part of the Council for British Archaeology Festival of Archaeology we are having an Open Day at our Moistown excavation.   The date is the Saturday 23rd July from 11.00am to 4.pm and we hope that tea and cake will be available!!
