Another summer walk!

 

2019

2nd November – AGM  11.30 am

7th December – Christmas meeting. A Talk by Michael Griffiths-Jones on Iron Age Enclosures in Torridge followed by a bring and share Christmas lunch and then some archaeology related films.

4th January – Learn about identifying some of our finds.  Communal learning experience!!

1st February – Cataloguing finds

7th March – Looking for and recording medieval graffiti.

4th April – A trip to Hawks Tor south, to see a most amazing stone row and fascinating geology. This is on the east side of Bodmin Moor and not to be confused with the Hawks Tor on the north of the moor!

2nd May – Experimental archaeology.  More details nearer the time.

6th June – walk, details later.

4th July – walk, details later.

1st August – we will be digging

5th September – to  be decided.

3rd October – possible post-exe day.

7th November –  AGM

5th December – to be decided.

Moistown Dig Dates

24th July to 23rd August; We will be taking  Wednesdays and Thursdays off but will be flexible around that to allow for weather.that to allow for weather.

Open day – 8th of August or 15th if the 8th is rained off.
